Bio
Camille Jenkins is a producer, director, writer, teaching artist, and creative leader. Equity, exploration, and collaboration are the tenants that she lives by both professionally and personally. Her formal education includes a BFA in Performing Arts in 2013, followed by a MA in Arts Administration in 2016, both from Savannah College of Art and Design.
Her past experience includes: developing and teaching performing arts curriculum for Riverside Children’s Theatre and Unique Minds, Inc.; producing and directing the inventive spoken word interactive experience: Spoken Perceptions; working with innovative organizations such as Oakland Theatre Project and Four Larks; and writing, directing, and producing The Goddesses Guide: Adura for the Women of African Diaspora for the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Currently Camille is the Programming Manager at The Wallis in Beverly Hills, where she has also co-directed and assistant directed. Her focus is on creating more artistic opportunities, as well as addressing inequalities in the arts and arts education, for those who are BIPOC, women, and from other underrepresented communities. She welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with fellow artists as a director, producer, writer, teaching artist, and consultant.
