Bio

Camille Jenkins is a producer, director, writer, teaching artist, storyteller and creative leader whose work lives at the crossroads of multi-medium exploration, historical introspection, environmental connection, and personal reflection. Equity, Exploration and Creation are the tenants that she lives by both professionally and personally. Her formal education includes a BFA in Performing Arts in 2013, followed by a MA in Arts Administration in 2016, both from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Her continued education is provided by working with the multitude of dynamic artists and community members who inspire her every day: writers, directors, producers, craftspeople and more. All of their guidance is immeasurable.

Her past experiences have included: teaching improv, history of non-western theatre and vocal lessons to youth at Riverside Children’s Theatre; producing and directing the innovative spoken word experience called Spoken Perceptions which featured interactive technology; working with emerging organizations like Black Rebirth Collective and Four Larks; and writing, directing, and producing The Goddesses Guide: Adura for the Women of African Diaspora which premiered at The Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2018.

Currently Camille is the Programming Manager at The Wallis in Beverly Hills. Her focus is on creating more opportunities and addressing inequalities in the arts and arts education for BIPOC, women, and other underrepresented communities; as well as actively developing current and future projects to direct, write, and produce.
